Wedding Budgets - August 8th, 2009

If you are planning for a wedding, it can be a stressful time, highly stressful.  You have only a certain budget, you have so many things to account for, and frankly it can seem overwhelming.  So first of all, make a budget and figure out how much everything from the flowers to the place settings to the invitations to the place of the wedding are going to cost.

Second, consider cheaper alternatives.  For example, with invitations, you could easily put together some professional looking invitations if you know the materials to look for and moreover a good printer for some of the finer details.  Decorations you can often find through craft stores and other cheaper outlets, and it’s amazing how cute or even elegant inexpensive can be.  Flowers, though I don’t necessarily recommend this, can be bought in bulk.  They will not arrange them for you, so you would have to have help and arrange them yourself.  But this method of buying flowers can be significantly cheaper.

And finally, consider having your reception in your home or a friend’s home.  That definitely saves you money on all the costs of finding a reception hall.  All of these will help you to really pull off a wedding on a budget.
